Beret: C'est tres frances!

So, I have now finished the beret that i had started. After deciding that I wouldn't use the original lace pattern that I had chosen, I got started using a pattern called "brioche honeycomb." I did the k2 p2 ribbing on size 3 needles, and then went up all the way to size 11 needles for the body. I came to the conclusion that even if I did use the other pattern, I probablly would have decreased the same way, with k2tog followed by a purl row. This was the first item that I've ever blocked... and honestly I don't know if i see much of a difference. Maybe it's cause of the yarn I used (80% acrylic, 20% cotton). Anyways, it came out better than I thought it would,

Very sexy and good looking! The beret looks great, too! I wear berets and think more men can carry them off.

It's a very nice beret. I like knitting them and should do more. And wear more of them. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
