Still here and alive

We didn't burn, thank god. Thank you for all the kind posts about our welfare. My wife was moved to tears.

Really, Thanks you so much!

The lace scarf is harder than i thought. Ive tried many different patterns and I think I'm just not ready for lace. I get tripped up with yarn overs on the next row. Frustrates the hell outta me.

YOu are probably over-thinking it. Lace has many characteristics of meditation; thoughts just get in the way.

So glad you didn't get burned out. Have wondered how things were, thanks for the post and letting us know.

glad you're all safe.

don't worry about the lace. it will come to you when it comes to you. no reason to stress about something that we do for pleasure and relaxation.

What Mario said. Besides, it will come about in its own time. Meanwhile, you have the Noro to enjoy. So glad you're all safe. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

I think I'm in the same place Kerry, but I'm forging ahead and taking MMario's great advise to quit over-thinking it! Glad to hear you guys made it through the blazes safe and sound! I'm so jealous of your newly acquired Noro stash!!
Cheers...good luck with the sweater. I think it's a great idea!

i'm glad to hear you're ok - i have a mortal fear of fire, so i can only imagine what you were going through - if i can be of any help do not hesitate to ask - also, as to the lace, my first lace project i got off of mmario's yahoo group - called beginners lace - it's easy and really works up gorgeous - i've done several of them and have actually made a bit of coin from them - i highly recommend it

as always

and then, one time at band camp...
