Weave-It Afghan - Tumbling Squares

TumblingSquaresAfghan 012
This was inspired by a photo of a quilt I saw on the internet. It consists of 168 4”x4” blocks; 144 2”x6” blocks and 16 2”x2” blocks, lovingly stitched together. All were woven on my Weave-It and Weavette hand looms. Started on September 7, 2009 and completed today, September 30, 2009. I'll pick up my knitting needles again. I promise...

I have always secretly LOVED my Weavettes hand looms...much to the dismay of my knitting friends.

This came out just beautifully...I went out to Flickr to zoom in a bit and it's even more lovely.

Another great creation, Rick. I especially like the photo of you sitting on the sofa. This may be the inspiration to finish up my Weave-It project. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Just amazing work, makes me want to take up weaving

Have been knitting for years. I knit continually then will try another craft, but will return to the needles.

Well done Rick. Beautiful!

I'll take a closer look some time over the weekend. You want to join me in a trip to Eminunu ? I need to go to the Spice Market to get some tulip bulbs etc and thought it might be nice to tempt myself ... walk through the wool market.
