This is from a 1942 kintting booklet that my sister gave me for Christmas and I can't figure out the pattern.
It's called "Pointed Stripe" and the directions go like this:
This pattern requires a multiple of 9 sts.
Row 1 - K 2 tog., K2, *Y O, K 1, Y O, K2, slip 1, K 1, P S S O, K 2 tog., K 2, repeat from * across row.
Row 2 - Purl.
Repeat these two rows for pattern
First of all, I think they mean 9 +4 but even then I can't get it to work out. If I follow the instruction I keep decreasing the number of stitiches by one per row because there are only two YOs and three decreases. I'm pretty sure I can use an SSK for the slip 1, K 1, P S S O stitch unless you all think not.
Anyway, take a look at the picture and any help you can give me will be most appreciated.
