3 pair of socks finished. They will be given away for an Christmas Fair at my local hospital. I'm not used to knit socks with lace pattern, but these one I think was easy and fun to make. Its from Drops Design 130-19. I used Regia Sockyarn, the yellow is Trendpoint, the other to is in Sentimento.
Morning All, Well after completing 3 projects last week and raking leaves all afternoon, I decided to put a new project on the needles using yarn from my stash last evening. I chose Tanis Gray's "Fair Isle Peacock Hat" which is really a two stranded work using sock yarn. The pattern comes from Carol Sulcoski's book "Sock Yarn Studio". The variegated yarn was hand dyed by her which I picked up at Kirkwood Knittery here in St. Louis when she was doing a book signing a month ago. Should be fun. I'll keep everyone posted though blog entries as it progresses.
Finishing up several projects. The socks are now done. Going to be a great weekend to rake leaves. Just in time. Have a fun couple of days guys. Regards, JRob
I had put the prayer shawl aside to do a rush job on a baby blanket for some friends I will see the week before Thanksgiving. I decided on a whim to knit them something and then worked my tail off for fear that it would not be finished in time. Instead I made it with time to spare....and watched a lot of Star Trek in the process.

Last night while watching TV I started the Vertex Cowl with the Stonehenge Crazy I purchased during our trip to Yale to visit our son. It was a free pattern that came with the yarn. It is a simple chevron stitch pattern. It was purchased at a great shop call Knit New Haven. Check it out if you're every in the area. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. JRob
Well Lobsters in the Cathedral is done. It was fun designing and knitting my first sweater not from a pattern. I am really pleased with the fit and the way it turned out. Hope you all have a great weekend and find a little time to knit. Regards to all my knitting brothers on this beautiful autumn day., JRob.
Here's a picture of some more socks I made. I love them. They're so comfortable and great for long walks. They feel like all-around foot cushions!
